Coaching Agreement
Draft for counsel review. This plain-language agreement is written for the new, smaller website and is not yet in effect.
Last updated: November 1, 2026
This agreement covers coaching and formation services provided by FINDING LLC, doing business as Finding Adam Finding Eve ("we," "us"), including Catholic Relationship Coaching with Katie Palitto and the Before Forever program. By scheduling or taking part in coaching, you ("you," "client") agree to it.
1. What coaching is
Coaching is a faith-based formation service rooted in Catholic teaching. It offers:
- Guidance, support and accountability focused on personal growth, relationships and spiritual growth
- Education based on Catholic teaching, Scripture, the Magisterium and Theology of the Body
- Practical relationship skills, communication strategies and discernment support
- Spiritual guidance rooted in Catholic teaching
2. What coaching is not
Coaching is not:
- Licensed mental health therapy, clinical counseling or psychological treatment
- Medical advice, diagnosis or treatment
- Legal or canonical advice or representation (questions about an annulment case belong with your parish and the diocesan tribunal)
- Spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, or a substitute for the Sacraments
- Crisis intervention or emergency services
If you are in crisis: call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call 1-800-799-7233 (National Domestic Violence Hotline), or call 911 in an emergency.
3. Your coach
Your coach is not acting as a licensed mental health professional, therapist or medical practitioner. If your needs go beyond faith-based formation coaching, your coach may recommend that you also seek help from a licensed professional.
4. Your responsibilities
- Be honest with your coach about your circumstances, goals and challenges.
- Take an active part in the coaching process.
- Make your own decisions. Your coach helps you reflect and discern; your coach does not decide for you.
- Seek help from a qualified licensed professional for mental health concerns, trauma, abuse or addiction, and tell your coach if you are receiving treatment.
- Respect scheduled times and agreed ways of communicating.
5. Confidentiality
We treat what you share in coaching as confidential. We will not share it with anyone except:
- If we reasonably believe you are an imminent danger to yourself or someone else
- If we learn of suspected abuse or neglect of a child, an elderly person or a dependent adult, which we are required to report under applicable law
- If a court order or subpoena requires it
- If you give written permission
6. Sessions and fees
- Sessions are scheduled directly with your coach by email or phone.
- Sessions take place in person in the Kansas City area, or by FaceTime, Zoom or phone. Before Forever sessions take place in person in the Kansas City area or by FaceTime.
- Fees are shared on your free discovery call and confirmed before coaching begins.
- Cancellation: full fee may apply if canceled within 36 hours of appt time and not rescheduled.
7. Notes and records
Your coach may keep brief session notes to track your progress. Notes are kept private and retained for 3 years after coaching ends, unless the law requires otherwise. You may ask us to delete your records by emailing hello@findingadamfindingeve.com.
8. Ending coaching
You may end coaching at any time, for any reason, by telling your coach. We may end coaching if it is no longer appropriate or helpful, and when we do, we will suggest other resources where possible.
9. Responsibility for outcomes
Taking part in coaching is voluntary. You are responsible for the decisions you make. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for outcomes, decisions or consequences that follow from your participation in coaching.
